What Is Japanese Bishu Fabric?
Bishu is a textile-producing region centered on Ichinomiya City in Aichi Prefecture, stretching from western Owari in Aichi to the Seinō area of Gifu. Craftspeople skilled in every stage of production, from yarn-making and dyeing to weaving and finishing, work together, and the region has long produced a rich variety of fabrics.

For this sailor ribbon bow tie, we chose a fancy tweed that combines metallic lily yarn and metallic chain yarn with silver sequins. The mix of yarns gives it a fun sparkly texture.
